Babergh District Council Community Energy Project Community Chest Scheme February 2007

We  have been successful in obtaining funding from the Community Chest Scheme to enable us to take on a new Counsellor. This will help us to reduce the waiting list and to work with more clients each week.

We are extremely grateful for this award because it provides us with support for 2007 and 2008. The other benefit it is that this funding is not restricted to any particular client group. This means that it gives equal access to funding support for all of our clients from Sudbury, Cornard and the surrounding villages.

The Community Energy Project has been very supportive to the Kernos Centre, providing us with start up funding in April 2003 and has continued to give support, which makes so much difference to a  small charity such as ours.
